This is an experiment on the layer: Echo is a personal digital persona. It builds, maintains and evolves a living representation of a person from the signals, context, preferences, memories, goals, relationships and life patterns that person chooses to share, so other services can serve that person more intelligently.
What it is
A persona held for the person: what they prefer, what they have settled, what they are working toward, and how their days tend to run.
A source of context for the services around the person. Echo understands; other parts of the ecosystem act.
The home of household and lifestyle planning, including the meal planning, pantry and shopping work that the food-waste pilot builds on.
The flow
one provides platform capabilities
echo understands the person
cortex acts on behalf of the personWhy the separation matters
Understanding stays in one place. Personal context is recorded once, with its source, instead of being copied into every service that wants it.
Action stays accountable. Echo does not act. Services that act on the person's behalf do so under their own delegated, revocable authority.
Baselines stay above it. Rules that apply to everyone still apply. Personal context changes how a person is served, never which protections they have.
What Echo is not
Not a health application, an agent platform or an identity platform.
Not a place where domain logic or execution lives.
Not a profile for advertising or scoring. The persona exists to serve the person it describes, and it belongs to that person.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants the services in their life to understand them without each one keeping its own copy of who they are, and any household that wants its planning to remember what it has already learned.
